FERPA

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law designed to protect the privacy of a student's educational records. Confidential student records include financial aid, scholarship and billing and account information. These records and related information will not be released to anybody other than the student without written consent and authorization from the student.

To secure authorization, the student and authorized person must print and complete the FERPA Release Form and submit the signed form and legible copies of a government-issued photo ID to ipfinance@calstate.edu or mail the paperwork to CSU International Programs, 401 Golden Shore, 6th Floor, Long Beach, CA 90802.
