Descriptions of CSU IP Program Types
Direct Enrollment: Programs in which CSU students enroll directly at partner universities and study alongside local students. If courses are not taught in English, advance level of the host language will be required.
Learn Language: Programs in which CSU students spend the majority of their time in language acquisition classes. Little to no prior language is required to participate in these programs. In many programs, students may also take 1 to 2 courses in their major taught in English.
Study in English: Programs in which full instructions are in English. This allows students the opportunity to build a foundation in the host country language, and gain perspective in the host country's academic discipline.
Calendar Year: Programs begin at the beginning of the year's calendar, January or February, and study the duration of the year.
Academic Year: Programs that follow an academic calendar: beginning at the time of the CSU fall term and ending after spring term.
